Global Wind Organization (GWO) Basic Safety Training (BST) is designed to provide basic skills that enable them to work safely in the wind power industry and to comply with the required minimum training requirements for the wind power industry.

Previous knowledge:
The participant must be in good physically and medically condition to participate in GWO training. There are no formal eligibility requirements for the course

  • Wind turbine manufacturer
  • Installation and maintenance
  • Subcontractors
  • Persons who want to enter the wind power sector

 

Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, participants must have acquired competence and basic knowledge about:

The importance of performing first aid safely in accordance with the legal requirements of their geographical location and according to the ERC and AHA guidelines. Identify and explain normal function, normal signs, functions and symptoms of serious and minor injuries and diseases related to the human body. Correctly lead in an emergency in a wind power environment. Correct use of life-saving first aid with the primary examination L-A-B-C-D-E. Correct use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED). Proper use of first aid equipment in an emergency situation.
